The book is about Lucas, the main character, travelling to other villages to make friends. However, when he arrives in each town, he is perplexed by their exotic looks and disregards making friends in any of the towns he visited. This prompts a clown to show up and tell him that the townspeople are just different from him and that he should not judge someone simply by their looks. This book shows children that they shouldn't judge someone based on their foreign looks and instead try to get to know them first.

I used watercolour to create a fairytale-like look and added saturated colours on the focal points to naturally guide attention along with the storyline.
